The Ellensburg Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Liberty Patriots at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
 Ellensburg had to endure  a  seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Bellevue with a sharp  13-3 victory on Saturday. Ellensburg's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
  Luke Sterkel made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (he also only allowed one  walk). Sterkel was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kai Twaites, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Justus Schmidt, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Liberty never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Interlake 13-0. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Liberty.

 On the hitting side,  Eli Shafer was a standout: he went 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rohne Klein, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Ellensburg  made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-5. As for Liberty, their win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-5.
