Softball Recap: Logansport Wins Going Away Against Northwood

After losing to Northwood the last time they met, Logansport decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went the Logansport Tigers' way against the Northwood Falcons on Saturday as the Logansport Tigers made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Tigers have won three matches by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooklyn Horton was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Logansport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Logansport's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Northwood, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logansport will head out to square off against Byrd at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwood, they will venture away from home to take on St. Mary at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
