Sean Hays was the top pitcher in 4A Tri-Valley this week, leading
La Salle. He won one game and retired 12 batters.
The Falcons had a successful week, as they won three total games to lead the league. La Salle beat
Benson Tech 5-1,
Madras 13-3 and
Douglas/Camas Valley 6-5.
North Marion's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 11 hits and six walks to lead the league in both categories.
There were five hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Nat Barrell, who hit .700 by going 7-for-10.
The Falcons' Hays led the league in strikeouts this week with 12. He's second in the league with 20 total strikeouts.
Trey Norton struck out ten in La Salle's 5-1 win over the Techmen on March 30. He gave up two hits and one run over seven innings of work.
