Hammond was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight  loss. They lost  3-0 to the Slidell Tigers. The Tornadoes were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting  back in October of 2024.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11,  25-10.
 Slidell was led to victory by  Ella Kate Spilling and  Lillian Simpson.  Spilling  had eight  digs, while  Simpson  had five  digs and two  aces.
Hammond now  has a losing record of 13-14. As for Slidell, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-7 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hammond is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Ponchatoula  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Slidell will  face off against  rival Fontainebleau  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
