The Seminole Warhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over Largo. The victory was just what Seminole needed coming off of a 58-28 loss in their prior contest.
Seminole had a senior duo take command as Devon Swartz scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five blocks and Laney Pearson scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Swartz has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Follett, who scored seven points.
Seminole has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Largo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole will challenge IMG Academy Blue at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Largo on the road again on Tuesday and play against St. Petersburg Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (St. Petersburg Catholic is ranked 328th, while Largo is ranked 315th).
