The Anderson Valley Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight loss. They were outmatched by Point Arena on the road and fell 87-25. Anderson Valley has struggled against the Pirates recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Point Arena's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Derek Billy, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Billy hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Fernando Lopez was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Anderson Valley dropped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Point Arena, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anderson Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Laytonville comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Point Arena, they will head out on the road to take on the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Round Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
