Kirtland extended the longest winning streak in Chagrin Valley - Valley this week by beating Beachwood, 20-18. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Hornets.
Kirtland and the Bison played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Kirtland eventually emerging with a 20-18 victory. Damon Washington ran for 124 yards and caught three passes for 52 yards in the win.
Nick Mares was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 129 yards as Cardinal topped Beachwood. Tommy Shirkey also contributed to the rushing game with 69 yards on the ground.
Scott Eilerman put up the best numbers through the air as the Hornets defeated Ryan Williams' team. He finished with a total of five completions for 80 yards and one touchdown.
Kirtland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Eilerman has thrown for 708 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Washington has 13 catches for 246 yards. Washington leads the league in rushing with 1257 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Berkshire takes on the Huskies. As it stands, the Badgers are in fourth, while Cardinal is in third.
Harding took down Richmond Heights 56-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
