The Lewis Cass Kings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Logansport. Lewis Cass has not had much luck with Logansport recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Lewis Cass lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being L.j. Hillis, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Lowe, who scored 12 points.
Logansport got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Russell out in front who scored 16 points along with two steals. Jacob Taylor was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Lewis Cass has fallen quite a ways from their 20-8 record last season and are now at 3-8. As for Logansport, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewis Cass will square off against Southwood at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Southwood is on a three-game streak of home losses, Lewis Cass a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Logansport, Logansport and Twin Lakes will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Twin Lakes is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
