There's no place like home for the Sylmar Spartans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They breezed by Canoga Park at home to the tune of 71-38 on Wednesday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-13.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sylmar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joseph Dickson, Jr, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Lee, who scored 12 points.
Sylmar pushed their record up to 13-14 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.1 points per game. As for Canoga Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.
Sylmar will take on the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canoga Park, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
