Stewarts Creek lost against Independence back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Hawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Red Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Independence was led to victory by Lanie Yoon and Olivia Erdmann. Yoon had seven digs and two aces, while Erdmann had five digs and one assist. That's the most digs Yoon has posted over her last seven matches.

Stewarts Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Independence, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Stewarts Creek will take on Cookeville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Independence, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Liberty Creek on the 23rd.
