Orofino had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They never let the St. Maries Lumberjacks get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Maniacs, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jaeger Tondevold was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Orofino is undefeated when Tondevold posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Quinton Naranjo, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Orofino always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Maries only posted an OBP of .238.

Orofino's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Maries, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Orofino beat the Lumberjacks by a score of 26-2 later that day.
