After three games on the road, Union is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Uintah Utes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Union had to settle for a 52-49 defeat against North Sevier.
Meanwhile, Uintah's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 55-36 to Green Canyon. While losing is never fun, Uintah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Green Canyon is ranked 27th).
Uintah's loss came about despite a quality game from Charlee Gilroy, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Gilroy continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zoey Glenn, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Union's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Uintah, they bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Union lost to Uintah at home by a decisive 53-38 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Will Union have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
