It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Hills Academy Knights had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 95-49 win over the Warriors at home. Hills Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Micah Pugh continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tye Parker, who scored 14 points.
When it comes to explaining why Skipstone Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Griffith Teate. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points. Nick Cloud was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Hills Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Skipstone Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Hills Academy will head out on the road to face off against Rock Springs Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rock Springs Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 18 matches -- so hopefully Hills Academy likes a good challenge. Skipstone Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
