Meanwhile, Manchester Memorial's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They blew past Manchester Central 56-33. The win was just what Manchester Memorial needed coming off of a 62-27 defeat in their prior game.
It was another big night for NyAsia McKelvey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times she's played. Torle Adumene was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Alvirne, bringing their record for this year to 4-4. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.33 points. As for Manchester Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
