Volleyball Recap: Alcorn Central Comes Up Short

Alcorn Central saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Gulfport Admirals by a score of 2-1.

Stella Hollis paced Alcorn Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Hollis also shared the team's lead in assists with Addison Lutz: they picked up seven each. Hollis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Alcorn Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Gulfport, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Alcorn Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Lake Cormorant on the 1st. As for Gulfport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Clinton on the 1st.
