Westminster Christian is a perfect 6-0 against Palmer Trinity since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Warriors will challenge the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Westminster Christian took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Tuesday. Everything went their way against American as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Kaley Dyer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Westminster Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as American only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Palmer Trinity had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hurricanes a 16-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Like Westminster Christian, Palmer Trinity also got a great game from a two-way player: Emily 'Emmy' Cerda. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Cerda was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Gina Marie Pineda was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Hailey Rodriguez was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Westminster Christian's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Palmer Trinity, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Westminster Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Palmer Trinity struggles in that department as they've averaged .318. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Westminster Christian took their win against Palmer Trinity when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
