The Central Valley Falcons's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Willows Honkers at 1:30 p.m. on December 21st. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Saturday, Central Valley lost to Trinity on the road by a decisive 61-44 margin.
Despite the defeat, Central Valley got a solid performance out of Kanin Harris, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Harris scored a full 27.3% of Central Valley's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Webster, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Willows' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 57-38 to Orland. Willows has struggled against Orland recently, as their contest on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Central Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Willows, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Central Valley was taken down by Willows 63-35 when the teams last played on December 4th. Can Central Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
