The Golder Panthers lost against the UIC College Prep Firecats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Golder fell 56-43 to UIC College Prep. Golder has not had much luck with UIC College Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
UIC College Prep found their leader in underclassman Jayden Coleman, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Coleman has scored all season. Marquese Myers was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Golder has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for UIC College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Golder will be playing at home against Baker at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. UIC College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chicago Hope Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. Chicago Hope Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully UIC College Prep likes a good challenge.
