Even though the Columbus International Lions scored an imposing 72 points on Wednesday, the Marion-Franklin Red Devils still came out on top. Marion-Franklin secured a 77-72 W over Columbus International. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marion-Franklin.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marion-Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Neko Tuff, who scored 19 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Terry Black, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Marion-Franklin now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Columbus International, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion-Franklin and Independence will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Independence is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Columbus International, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Northland at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Northland will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
