Madeline Murphy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Aquinas, going 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 0 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Murphy has scored at least 25% of Aquinas' points. Samantha Davis was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 3 steals.
Mayer Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Aquinas, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayer Lutheran will challenge Stewartville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Aquinas, they will head out on the road to face off against La Crosse Logan at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
