Allegany-Limestone is 1-9 against Olean since June of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Gators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Wednesday, Allegany-Limestone made easy work of Dunkirk and carried off a 14-2 win. Considering the Gators have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kailey Truman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Allegany-Limestone got a big performance out of Molly John, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Riley Sudbrook was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Allegany-Limestone hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dunkirk struck out six times.
Meanwhile, Olean had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top against the Marauders by a score of 12-7.
The team relied heavily on Anna Bates, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Finch, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Allegany-Limestone's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Olean, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Allegany-Limestone has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Olean struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Allegany-Limestone got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April against Olean by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Gators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
