Avoyelles Charter's tournament run continued when they took on Woodlawn-B.R. on Saturday. The Avoyelles Charter Vikings came out on top against the Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers by a score of 61-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Leading Avoyelles Charter to victory were Jalen Brown and Armonii Benjamin. Brown went 10 of 11 en route to 22 points in addition to five assists and four steals, while Benjamin went 10 for 14 on his way to 24 points and five boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Avoyelles Charter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Dobbins, who posted seven points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Avoyelles Charter was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodlawn-B.R. only posted seven assists.

When it comes to explaining why Woodlawn-B.R. lost, don't look at Kelinee Stone. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 10 en route to 22 points and eight rebounds. Stone's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Brandon, who had ten points.

Avoyelles Charter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Woodlawn-B.R., with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-9.

Avoyelles Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-37 victory against Holy Savior Menard on the 27th. Woodlawn-B.R. has also already played their next matchup, a 72-54 defeat against Madison Prep Academy on the 30th.
