Calhan found their leader in sophomore  Savannah Stewart, who  on her way to 17 points along with five  boards and three  steals. That's the most  points  Stewart has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kailey Peterson, who  earned six points and 11  rebounds.
 Calhan  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 16  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Simla earned  a  49-40 win over Hoehne  on Monday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Cubs.
 Calhan's victory was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Simla, their record is now 16-5.
 Calhan was dealt a bruising  67-16 loss at the hands of Simla in their previous meeting  back in February of 2024. Can Calhan avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
