Basketball Recap: Fulton Science Academy Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Fulton Science Academy Mustangs had to suffer through a 73-43 loss at the hands of the Galloway Scots. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lucas Marks, who went 7 for 13 to rack up 19 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Marks a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Boomer Vowels, who posted eight points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Galloway was led to victory by Ryan Levin and Justin 'JJ' Page. Levin went 14 of 24 on his way to 37 points along with five boards and four steals, while Page dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. With that strong performance, Levin is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Nico Cheeks, who had seven points.

Fulton Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Galloway, their victory bumped their record up to 5-15.

Fulton Science Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-41 win against Atlanta Jewish Academy on the 3rd. As for Galloway, they have also already played their next game, a 64-59 loss against Mount Pisgah Christian on the 4th.
