Edgewood won the last time they faced Mooresville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pioneers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

While Edgewood won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16.

Olivia Edgeman paced Edgewood's offense, picking up nine kills. Edgeman got some help from Jenna Abram and her 15 assists. Abram was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Despite the loss, Mooresville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Meadow Morancey had ten digs. Morancey has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Mooresville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-20.

Edgewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against South Putnam on the 7th. As for Mooresville, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Terre Haute North Vigo on the 4th.
