Vernon/Plankinton took a serious blow against the Warriors, falling 60-29. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.
Leading Winner to victory were Carter Craven and Shawn Hammerbeck. Craven almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds, while Hammerbeck dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Craven has scored all season. Ryder Halligan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Mt. Vernon/Plankinton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Winner, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Mt. Vernon/Plankinton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Dolphins at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. Deubrook has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 460 points over their last seven games. As for Winner, they will be playing at home against the Gorillas at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Gregory is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
