The Crisp Academy Wildcats lost against the Windsor Academy Knights back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Crisp Academy was beaten by Windsor Academy 75-39. Crisp Academy has not had much luck with Windsor Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Crisp Academy saw an underclassman step up: Reese Reed scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Ashton, who scored eight points.
Windsor Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Landen Locke, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Colby Chappell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Crisp Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Windsor Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Crisp Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grace Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Windsor Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity Christian School of Griffin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Trinity Christian School of Griffin will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
