The McDonald's All American Games are expected to return to the court in 2022 following a two-year absence due to the pandemic. The 45th anniversary of the game will be played at Wintrust Arena in Chicago on March 29.
Nearly 800 nominees were announced Wednesday with 41 states and the District of Columbia represented. Texas received the most nominations with 83, followed by California and Florida tied with 73 and Maryland with 44. A complete list of 2022 McDonald's All American game nominees is available at

The top 24 boys and 24 girls selected to play in the McDonald's All American game will be revealed Tuesday, Jan. 25 on ESPN's "NBA Today" between 3-4 p.m. ET.
The 2022 McDonald's All American nominees have a chance to join
notable past selections like Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Magic Johnson, Michael
Jordan, LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal.
The
McDonald's All American game began in 1977 and has been played every
year until 2020, when it was canceled due to the pandemic.
Players were nominated by either a high school coach, athletic director, principal or member of the McDonald's All American selection committee.
"As a brand that feeds and fosters many communities across the country, it's great to celebrate these players who are proudly representing their high schools, families and hometowns from all over," said Derrick Taylor, the owner/operator and Black McDonald's Operators Association Lead for Chicago. "As a big basketball fan myself, and on behalf of McDonald's owner/operators across the country, we can't wait to see the top 48 high school players take the court this March in Chicago, a city that hosted the games numerous times over the past 45 years."
