The Tecumseh Braves were the 63-60 winner over the Princeton Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Tecumseh took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Princeton. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Tecumseh still got an impressive performance from Jenna Donohoo, who scored 19 points along with six assists. Katelyn Marx was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists.
Azaryon Wesley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Princeton, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wesley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Raven Jones, who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals.
Tecumseh's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Princeton, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tecumseh will square off against Pike Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pike Central is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Princeton, they will head out on the road to square off against Evansville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Evansville Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
