Roosevelt is 8-0 against School Without Walls since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Roosevelt Roughriders will be playing in front of their home fans against the School Without Walls Penguins at 7:30 p.m. Roosevelt knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully School Without Walls likes a good challenge.
Last Wednesday, Roosevelt faced Banneker in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Roosevelt secured a 69-65 W over Banneker. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jawuan Carter and Gabriel Hudgens were among the main playmakers for Roosevelt as the former scored 20 points and the latter scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Moorer, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, School Without Walls wound up with the same score they had in their last game (58-48), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Roosevelt is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for School Without Walls, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Roosevelt took their victory against School Without Walls in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 73-50. With Roosevelt ahead 38-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
