Baseball Recap: Northeast Dubois Snags 16th Win in Last 18 Games

It's playoff time, and Northeast Dubois had no trouble coming through when it counted. They didn't even let the West Washington Senators on the board on Saturday, marking the Jeeps' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Jeeps, who have now won 13 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Jake Kluesner was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Sheetz, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Northeast Dubois kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Washington only managed four hits.

Northeast Dubois is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for West Washington, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 20-4 record.

Coming up, Northeast Dubois will square off against Shakamak on Saturday. The Lakers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Jeeps surely won't give up without a fight. West Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
