Middletown North were close but not close enough on Saturday as they fell 20-22 to Freehold Boro. The loss was a vexing one since Middletown North were expected to win based on their state ranking. The game pushed Middletown North down to 0-2 and pulled Freehold Boro up to the reverse at 2-0.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Middletown North take on Rumson-Fair Haven at 7:00 PM. As for Freehold Boro, they will face off against Brick Memorial.
