It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the North Kitsap Vikings can now relate to. They fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 19-17. North Kitsap's loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Sloman, who picked up 62 receiving yards and a touchdown.
North Kitsap's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Tumwater, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record.
North Kitsap does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tumwater will take on Anacortes at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Anacortes: 6.9, Tumwater: 8.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
