It was a good run, but the Balko Bison unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a serious blow against Boise City, falling 60-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Balko has suffered yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Balko had strong showings from Kelby Sager, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds, and Emelie Trentham, who scored 12 points. That's the first time this season that Sager pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Balko's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Boise City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Balko and Shattuck will face off on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Shattuck is ranked 225th, while Balko is ranked 209th). Boise City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hooker on January 20th. Hooker is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
