Riverdale extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 7-7. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since April 4, 2025.

The team relied heavily on Laylah Howard, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Kenzie Furr was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Riverdale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in five consecutive contests.
As for Cory-Rawson, they now have a losing record of 4-5. They haven't had much luck with Riverdale recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
On Cory-Rawson's side, they got a big performance out of Addison Inbody, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Duffman, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Coming up, Riverdale will challenge Elgin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cory-Rawson, they will square off against Arcadia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Hornets will need to watch out since the Redskins have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
