The Coral Shores Hurricanes are taking a road trip to take on the Braddock Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Coral Shores is coming into the game hot, having won their last 15 games.
Coral Shores had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Mater Bay Academy on Wednesday. The Hurricanes put the hurt on the Rays with a sharp 14-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Glade Harrelson looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Eddie Holly, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Campbell Lavoie was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Coral Shores was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Braddock hadn't done well against Florida Christian recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots a 2-0 shutout.
Braddock also got a great performance from Miguel Diaz as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Brayan Martinez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Manny Sanchez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
Coral Shores pushed their record up to 16-1-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Braddock, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That lines up perfectly with their 16-5-1 record this season.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Coral Shores hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383. However, it's not like Braddock struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
