Basketball Recap: Westside Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Westside won the last time they faced Belton-Honea Path and Jonovan Webb did his part to make sure it happened again. The Rams rang in the new year with a 74-66 victory over the Bears on Tuesday with plenty of help from Webb, who shot 46% from the field en route to 20 points along with six assists and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Terrance Estrich, who went 5-for-6 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds. He also put up a block, which was his first of the season.

Belton-Honea Path's loss came despite strong showings from Eugene Robinson and Marshall Bolden. Robinson dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards, while Bolden posted 16 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jakyri Anderson, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 10 points.

Westside is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Belton-Honea Path, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Westside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 88-74 win against Southside on the 9th. As for Belton-Honea Path, they have also already played their next contest, a 52-41 victory against West-Oak on the 9th.
