It was a good run, but the Columbia Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against West, falling 57-30.
It was another big night for Kylee Falatea, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds for West. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Fina Tuha, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for West, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Columbia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop Kelly at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. West won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ridgeline at 2:40 p.m. on December 20th. Ridgeline is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
