Football Recap: Park Vista Skates Past Suncoast with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Park Vista). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Suncoast Chargers 41-6. The result was nothing new for the Cobras, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Jordana Weil had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 266 yards and five touchdowns. Her passing game has become a key predictor of Park Vista's success: the team is undefeated when her passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. Zahra Fazal was Weil's top target, picking up 59 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Park Vista has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.3 points on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Suncoast fell to 7-1.

Park Vista wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 24-0 victory against West Boca Raton on the 1st. As for Suncoast, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-0 win against Pine on the 1st.
