Basketball Recap: Concord's Loss Ends 12-Game Winning Streak at Home

It was a good run, but Concord unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Penn Kingsmen 46-40. The Minutemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kingsmen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Penn was led to victory by Caleb Coolman and Peyton Miamba. Coolman posted 18 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Miamba put up 17 points. The dominant performance gave Miamba a new career-high in points. Alexander Hawthorne was another key player, putting up four points.

Concord's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Penn, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Concord will take on Mishawaka in a holiday battle at at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Penn, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Michigan City at 7:00 p.m.
