Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ouray, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 63-52 win over North Fork on Saturday.
Dove Creek better keep an eye on Cavan Pasek. He was instrumental in Ouray's win, dropping a double-double with 26 points and 13 boards. Pasek has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Hill, who posted 11 points.
Dove Creek pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. As for Ouray, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Dove Creek has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37 boards per game. However, it's not like Ouray struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Dove Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Ouray in their previous meeting on February 4th, winning 49-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dove Creek since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
