Old Fort hasn't had much luck against Hopewell-Loudon recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Stockaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chieftains at 5:00 p.m. Hopewell-Loudon took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Old Fort, who comes in off a win.
Old Fort took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Danbury. The Stockaders haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Old Fort saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Adelsperger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The Stockaders are undefeated when Adelsperger posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Jace Turner was another, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Old Fort was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Lakota hit Hopewell-Loudon with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Chieftains fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Chieftains have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Hopewell-Loudon and nudges their season record down to 13-4. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Old Fort, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Old Fort has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hopewell-Loudon struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
