Seneca East is 8-2 against Bucyrus since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Seneca East Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Bucyrus Redmen at 7:30 p.m.
Seneca East kicked off their season on the road last Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost to Hopewell-Loudon on the road by a decisive 50-34 margin.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bucyrus at home against Vanlue on Thursday as the squad secured a 61-30 win. With Bucyrus ahead 34-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Bucyrus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Kemery, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kemery has scored at least 25% of Bucyrus' points. Marissa Middleton was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Seneca East's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Bucyrus, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Seneca East couldn't quite finish off Bucyrus in their previous matchup back in February and fell 37-34. Can Seneca East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
