In what's become a running theme this season, the Arcanum Trojans gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 60-32 victory over Twin Valley South on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-16.
Arcanum's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Gibbons, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Long, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Twin Valley South lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brylii Day, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. Day hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for three straight games. Jordan Ritchie was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Arcanum and bumps their season record up to 12-6. As for Twin Valley South, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Arcanum will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Jets at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. Franklin Monroe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Trojans are ranked 247th). As for Twin Valley South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
