The Waverly Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Lincoln Northwest Falcons on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, Waverly came up short against Hastings and fell 60-48.
Waverly's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Keaton Rine, who scored 16 points, and Reece Bader who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Northwest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 14th straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 83-55 loss at the hands of Bennington. While losing is never fun, Lincoln Northwest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Bennington is ranked 38th).
Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Lincoln Northwest, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
