The Harmony Christian Hawks will stay at home for another game and welcome Abundant Life Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Harmony Christian is ranked 413th in New York, while Abundant Life Academy is ranked 424th in New Jersey).
Last Thursday, Harmony Christian escaped with a win against Kearny Christian Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52.
Harmony Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Edric Boateng, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, and Benjamin Minton, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Minton has scored at least a third of Harmony Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Seward, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Abundant Life Academy, who are still winless after their seventh game. They were beaten by American Christian School 69-30 last Thursday.
Harmony Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Abundant Life Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7.
Harmony Christian was dealt a bruising 90-54 defeat at the hands of Abundant Life Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harmony Christian was down 50-22.
