The Cape Hatteras Hurricanes lost against the Camden County Bruins back in January of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Cape Hatteras took a serious blow against Camden County, falling 68-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cape Hatteras has scored all season.
Camden County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Chopek, who scored 14 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Chopek grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Xzavior Wiggins, who scored 15 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Cape Hatteras and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Camden County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
Cape Hatteras will head out on the road to face off against Pungo Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Pungo Christian Academy's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while Cape Hatteras has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Camden County will be home for the holidays to greet Pasquotank County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pasquotank County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
