If Ida Baker was feeling good fresh off their 23-2 takedown of Lehigh last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Oasis Sharks by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ida Baker saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Tischer, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Ida Baker's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Oasis, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ida Baker will face off against Lely at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oasis, they will challenge Gateway Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Griffins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.23 runs per game on average), something the Sharks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
