In what's become a running theme this season, the Seiling Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 85-57 victory over Cheyenne/Reydon. Given Seiling's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Bears are ranked 118th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Cheyenne/Reydon had strong showings from Emma Bogges, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Kynli Carlson, who scored 14 points. Bogges has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Miranda Allen was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Seiling pushed their record up to 17-3 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.1 points. As for Cheyenne/Reydon, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.
Seiling won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Lomega is coming into the match hot, having won their last 22 games. As for Cheyenne/Reydon, they will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sweetwater is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
