The Patton Springs Rangers will head out on the road to challenge the Guthrie Jaguars at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Patton Springs has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Patton Springs, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-34 loss to Spur.
Meanwhile, Guthrie made easy work of Motley County on Tuesday and carried off a 63-40 win. The win was just what Guthrie needed coming off of a 97-53 defeat in their prior contest.
Guthrie's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rodie Sanders, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanders has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Green, who scored 19 points.
Patton Springs' loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Guthrie, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18.
Patton Springs took a serious blow against Guthrie in their previous meeting back in January, falling 77-46. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Patton Springs was down 47-17.
